What is WPM
WPM, or Words Per Minute, counts the words you type correctly each minute. By convention one word equals five characters, so it reflects your true net speed.
The result page shows both net WPM and raw WPM: net counts only correct input, while raw includes everything you typed, errors and corrections included. The smaller the gap, the higher your accuracy.
WPM benchmarks
The average keyboard user sits around 35 to 45 WPM, and most people can reach 60+ with practice.
